This week’s class will be based around different ways to use silhouettes in our artwork. Angus will be showing several techniques utilising simple outlines to make something beautiful.
And a wee reminder to bring your bottles for the Thunder in the Glens stall, which is this Saturday. This is an important fundraiser for the group so we need as many prizes as possible!
With the glorious sunshine shining down on the town, we were to have the chance to get onto the roof of Grantown Grammar (after the appropriate risk assessment and trip hazard warnings!) on Wednesday night.
A small group braved the stiff breeze and enjoyed lovely views of the Cairngorms and the Cromdales – as well as an exercise class, tennis players and football training. The atmosphere was even topped off by the skirl of pipes!
It’s all change on our spring timetable.
Because of the committee meeting, Wednesday night’s group painting activity became ‘try pottery’ night. And this week, on March 23, we’re off to the Craig Bar for pie and chips at 7pm to celebrate the end of term. Members should tell Spencer if they wish to attend. The room hire at Grantown Grammar will be cancelled.
But do not despair, group painting will return…
